Fashion can be described as a dominant style within a given culture at a certain time. It can be used to refer to a popular or the latest style of clothing or behaviour. The prevailing way of dressing at a particular time or era.
In comparison, style refers to a person’s particulate way of expressing themselves whether that is through clothing or any behavioural. In the fashion world, style is usually shorthand for personal style, whether a person expresses his or her choices through clothing, accessories, hairstyle, particularly the way they match outfits.
Fashion can be a trend, style relates to individuals and is subjective to the individual form of expression. The fashion industry is one of the biggest industries in the world but still one of the sensitive industries. Thinking what I am thinking... Yeah sensitive to nature, to the weather, sensitive to social issues like religion, to the economy like the cost of living, to nature like age group but still we cannot do without its accessories such as clothing.
In the 21st century the trends of the fashion industry tend to dominate the world more than they ever did before. With the emergence of the internet and different social platforms, humans are now more expressive more than ever. Nowadays fashion is bold and daring, fashion is not just a means of clothing the body, the choice of fashion now depicts personality and style.
Fashion trends tend to unify women and men around the world, yet it allows people to portray their own individual style. Fashion varies in different parts of the world like season varies. It's okay say that each continent has their own fashion styles but in recent times there has been fusion of fashion, where Africa prints are been mixed with Western designs to create beautiful styles and collections. The fusion of designs has led to distinct fashion style and have been embraced by Africans and Westerners. PSL will continue to bring you some of these styles and designs.
